In need of something to write about.

If there are any readers out there, what?

Maybe...

Everyday I should just write about how bad I want to see The Dark Knight, and the weeks will go by faster. Or every once in a while I could just be like one of those teenage girls at a Backstreet Boys concert who gets all excited, cries, then passes out because I am so excited all in the name of The Dark Knight. Will that happen, only time will tell.

Anticipation...

I want to go to bed tonight and wake up on July 18th. My anticipation for this movie is growing exponentially latey with all the awesome, amazing, and crazy articles. I have a feeling that I will not be able to sleep soon, because all I want to do is go and see The Dark Knight. I don't know if this anticipation is going to be smashed by a movie that is "just ok," or if it will live up to all the hype that I am giving it. I think that latter, if blows all expectations out of the water. But then, my expectations are really really high, higher than any other movie in my memory. How do I see this movie before the 18th of July?

Hulk... Smash! hit?

So today I was feeling kind of lonely and decided to go see The Incredible Hulk. Most of the spring I wasn't sure if this flick would be worth my $8 dollars to see in the theatre, especially after the terrible Hulk that was released in 2003. Compared to the '03 movie this years did some things right. First, Hulk wasn't kelly green. He was green but not leprechaun, happy st. patricks day, bright ass green. That was nice. Second, since this movie was kind of a reinvention/rebirth, I am glad that we got a little of the must have superhero background, but it was just a taste which was nice. Third, if you remember the '03 Hulk, which I just barely do, you will remember that Hulk got larger and larger the more angry he got, and even flew. Sure, they were probably just HUGE jumps, but non of that this time around.

I love me some Ed Norton and was excited to see him portray our pissed off protagonist. I don't know if I can think of a role I don't like Norton in, so I will just say good job Ed. Ms. Tyler on the other hand, wowsers, There were parts (specifically when she runs out the back of the restaurant looking for Bruce) where I thought I was watching some cheesy soap opera with terrible acting. I can't remember if she did better than Jennifer Connelly, all I think of with her is Requiem. Also I would have to say I enjoy Sam Elliot over William Hurt but thats neither here nor there.

After seeing Transformers about a hundred times now, it is hard for me to get excited about CG fight scenes but, Hulk had some really awesome and fun to watch battles. Hulk verse the Army in the middle of a college campus was bad ass. Hulk verse Abomination on the streets of Manhattan, crazy cool. I was also a big fan of Hulk yelling his name and then "Smash!"

What about Mr. Blue? Did you not see him smile when that drop of blood hit the crater in his forehead? I was kind of hoping he would bust of somewhere and kick some ass, but he didn't.
Another little thing. Glad that he didn't put those purple pants on, I would have been upset. Stan Lee is awesome too, but why was he drinking cheap ass soda from Brazil?

I enjoyed this movie, it was fun to watch, and didn't seem to drag on at all. The reinvention was a success in my book and worth my 114 minutes.
Rating: 294 Days without incident (out of 365)

I am sure there is stuff I missed that I want to comment on, so I will have to edit this later.

Been long time...

Indy 4

Well, just got back from Indy. Stay tuned for my review tomorrow. I did like the Ice Road Truckers commercial beforehand.
